Make Your Holiday Sales Brighter by Offering Gift Cards and Gift Certificates through Submerce eCommerce

Napa, CA – With the holidays just around the corner, many retailers want to know what will help them meet sales projections for the 2007 holiday season. Last year, a record $24.81 billion was spent in consumer online shopping for 2006, nearly doubling from the previous year. Many retailer websites or POS systems do not offer gift card options. Right out of the box, the Submerce Point of Sale Edition provides your business the ability to sell and track gift cards of any value for customer use online and in your physical store. With no transaction fees or hidden charges, the online Submerce Gift Card Manager gives you administrative control to provide preset gift card denominations, configure minimum and maximum card limits, and issue gift certificates while providing complete sales tracking and reporting metrics. In 2006, Over 24 billion dollars was spent on gift cards alone. Let Submerce provide your business with the ability to offer Gift Card Sales online and in your store.

“Submerce is one of the few eCommerce and POS solutions that offers gift cards and gift certificates-two consumer options we consider a “must have” for companies to remain competitive today,” says Sarah Elliman, Director of Sales and Marketing. “The Submerce platform has been offering gift certificates from the start, and gift cards were added a few years ago,” continues Elliman. “We want to make sure businesses have all the tools available to meet their holiday sales goals, so we’re going to make sure everyone knows about them,” says Elliman.

Gift cards and gift certificates are just one of the many standard features of the Submerce platform. Submerce makes it easy to switch POS and eCommerce solution providers. Give Submerce a call today at (888) 963-3006 for a full product demonstration.

Submerce Announces Rewards Program Expansion Module

Napa, CA – Submerce announced today that the release of their upcoming Customer Rewards Expansion module for the Submerce eBusiness platform is on schedule for release in October. The new module will offer Submerce users the ability to reward their customers with credit for purchasing a configurable quantity of product in a given time and reward wine club members who keep their memberships current for a certain duration or number of shipments. The credit can be applied automatically or manually and can be used by a customer either online or through a retail environment if the store is powered by the Submerce Point of Sale system. This module is similar to the Submerce Referral Program which offers club members an incentive to refer friends and family to sign up for clubs by offering them a credit or gift card. The tool also offers restrictions on how the card can be used by limiting the credit to specified products or by setting credit expiration dates.

“Both the Referral and Rewards Program modules are an example of Submerce responding to customer feedback and module ideas,” says Sarah Elliman, Director of Sales and Marketing. “As the competition in the online marketplace heats up, our customers need innovative tools and features to maintain their competitive advantage,” says Elliman. “We developed our Referral Module over a year and half ago, while other eCommerce providers still don’t have it,” continues Elliman. “We’re constantly surprised by how companies continue to expect their online sales to grow while using outdated or unreliable eCommerce platforms that don’t have even half of the standard features and tools that Submerce offers today.”

The Submerce Rewards Program Expansion Module can be added to any Submerce installation and with little investment, offers users new ways to communicate their brand messaging while increasing their sales. The Submerce Rewards program is only one of the many expansion modules that are currently available to further enhance the Submerce eBusiness platform.

Cephrus Readies Release of New Multi-Channel Inventory Management Module

Napa, California – After months of intense development, Submerce is nearing release of their latest Expansion Module which will offer another available option to tracking your inventory. The new comprehensive multi-location inventory tracking system will offer product depletion based on the type of transaction as well as rollover inventory locations to fulfill Submerce installations who need more options to deplete products which are in limited supply. The system will also offer both manual and automated inventory transfer tools along with detailed inventory depletion reports as part of the module.

“With the success of the Submerce POS system, our customers quickly responded with feedback that what would set Submerce apart from the competition even further would be more inventory tracking options,” says Tim Holtermann, Senior Programmer. “The new Multi-Channel Inventory option allows administrators to set Submerce to deplete products from certain locations based on the type of transaction,” continues Holtermann. “So you can have all your online sales deplete directly from your warehouse, while having each store location’s POS deplete locally,” say Tim. “This system is quite unique, and still to this day, we have yet to have any other system come close to Submerce’s scalability and functionality for even 3-5 times the price,” says Jonathan Elliman, Director of Creative Services. “We built Submerce from the ground up to offer customers a system that offers so many options “right out of the box” along with customization options and expansion modules that will further enhance our customer’s experience while cutting costs”, continues Elliman.

The new Submerce Multi-Channel Inventory module is currently being beta tested by current Submerce users and will be available in late August. Submerce is currently scheduling demonstrations of the new feature set and will be offering it as an option with any new Submerce Point of Sale Merchant Edition installations starting September 1st. Call (888) 963-3006 to schedule a demonstration today.

Race Prep relies on Submerce for eCommerce and Point of Sale

Race Prep, a fast-growing hobby store located in Southern California, has selected the Submerce eCommerce and Point of Sale solution to meet their web and retail sales requirements. Built upon the standard installation, Race Prep revels in having one solution to manage multiple points of sales thereby eliminating the need to synchronize multiple applications. One of the biggest advantages of using the Submerce platform is having one database to manage multiple areas of sales, CRM and products. “Having POS and eCommerce powered by one application simplifies managing products, people, and orders since customers can view and modify orders they have placed both online and in the store,” says Jonathan Elliman, Director of Creative Services. “Many customers tend to forget what they bought in the store, so when they need parts, they are unsure of what they are looking for. With Submerce, customers can sign into their account, view their order history and order the parts they need 24/7,” explains Elliman.

Race Prep is set to launch in early August and offers radio-controlled hobby products at competitive prices with unparalleled customer service.

“Through one backend, Submerce makes creating and processing orders a snap because it is simple to use, yet can handle sophisticated orders with ease,” says Tim Holtermann, Senior Programmer at Cephrus.
